Peterborough Soup Kitchen, is a registered charity and has been running for 26 years. We serve hot soup, sandwiches, cakes and hot & cold drinks to the between 35 and 75 homeless and disadvantaged of the city. This is done 6 days per week.
The charity is run 100% by over 150 dedicated volunteers, who prepare the food and drink and serve it from the back of a van, at a city centre location. The food that we serve is vital to the well being of those who receive it.
We survive on donations and support from the public, institutions and companies where all the funds go into providing its services.
Peterborough Soup Kitchen needs to constantly fund raise to bring in the necessary money to deliver its services. The charity needs to raise £18,000 to buy a new van, as its present van is old and in need of replacement. We have raised about £6,000 so far but the funds raised from Fratellis Restaurant will be an important part of our target.
